OAF 2022 program offers special treats to outsider art lovers! It is our great pleasure to invite you to the boldest festival in Helsinki.
OAF manifests in the encounters of outsiders and insiders, taking over Helsinki city venues. Choose your favorites and join us live and online!
Here are our tips for the opening festivities on Friday 12.8.2022.
Please note that OAF is accessible and responsible. OAF festival guides from Autism Foundation, Kukunori and Pertin Valinta will guide the audience to unique art experiences.
Opening day program 12.8.2022

The opening day starts with an art exhibition in Helsinki Art Museum HAM. The OAF Group Exhibition is open from 3PM. Meet the artists and festival guides in HAM Corner.
Close by, in front of Musiikkitalo Music Center Media screen there is an outdoor film screening of Jyrki Haapala’s short film Veneh at 5PM. Veneh tells a beautiful story about Karelian culture and wedding ceremonies. After the film, the audience is invited to sing along in Karelian karaoke.
The grande finale of the opening day is the True Equality Party at Musiikkitalo Music Center’s Club at 7PM. The party features artistic performances and speeches along with the Taste of OAF Cocktail Menu, served by top chefs and OAF catering team members including Sami Helle, Teresa Välimäki and mentor Paul Hickman. In collaboration with Musiikkitalo, Compass Group Finland and True Equality partners.
