In the Literature Mentoring Program, outsider artists get to know the areas and actors of the literary field. The program is realized in collaboration with the Finnish publisher WSOY. The writers get feedback on their own texts and they get to know the various stages of publishing. The mentoring program starts before the festival and continues after the events. During the Outsider Art Festival, the writers present their works to the audience.

The artistic mentors 2023 are Aleksis Salusjärvi and Sanni Purhonen. The writers are  Toivo Hauru, Mika Leminen, Liisa Marjatta Jokinen, Julius Kuusisaari, Jim Dahl and Eeva Lusenius.
