Permantosali, the House of Text, 14.8.2025 at 20:15-22:00
OAF Poetry Stage asks the question: what kind of literature could exist outside the known literature?
The poets of the OAF Literature Programme will take over the stage of Permantosali, together with a guest poet from the publisher WSOY. The evening will feature a diverse array of unprecedented textual worlds, precise observations about being an outsider, direct personal accounts and performances exploring the visual possibilities of poetry.
During the evening, OAF poets Hanna Heino & Nilas Lindell, Elisa Poutanen, Juuso Juntunen, Kaisa Leppikangas, Olli Huusko, Satu Kankaanpää, Suvi Miettinen, Veikko Pohjalainen, and a WSOY guest poet Mikko Räty will present their own texts. The program is curated by critic and literature teacher Aleksis Salusjärvi and poet Sanni Purhonen.
“In this year’s performances, language itself becomes the object of expression. Beyond the visual dimension, meanings are built largely around language itself, giving poetry the character of an event,” Aleksis Salusjärvi explains.
The event is free of charge.
Time: 20.15-22.00.
Location: the House of Text’s Permantosali (1st floor). Lintulahdenkatu 3, 00530, Helsinki.
