Collins Ngiesi is a versatile artist who writes, plays the piano, paints, draws and makes works of art from beads. As a writer, Ngiesi specializes in lists, in which he lists and categorises things, events and dates that are meaningful to him. The themes of his work have a high degree of repetition and the works build up over a long period of time. More recently, Ngiesi has been creating works that combine his texts with his paintings and drawings. Ngiesi has a natural eye for colour, and colour often plays an important role in his work.
