Riikka Tahvanainen

Riikka Tahvanainen

Riikka Tahvanainen is a multidisciplinary artist who has been making art enthusiastically for more than 12 years. Tahvanainen has played the flute, acted, made videos, cartoons, photographed and most recently written a miniature novel. Tahvanainen’s stories include honest expression, painting with poems as well as living and breathing personalities. The language used by Tahvanainen is rich, interesting and unique. The festival presents Viimeinen vastaanotto (2022), which is a hypnotic short novel. It is a psychologically plausible and convincing story about hope. The poetic monster rushing through the story is bearing its heart-rendering dreams to the end. In the cracks of a shattered reality, the flowers of black humor bloom.
