Dream Lakes aka Mira Oja began creating electronic music back in 2002 with the Fruity Loops software. Around 2016, Dream Lakes started making ambient soundscapes. In 2019, Dream Lakes released a collection of the works so far, called Songs from the Lake, which you can listen to on Bandcamp. In 2020, Dream Lakes released a sleep-themed ambient album called Dreamscapes which addresses different sleep types and states, describing them with ambient soundscapes. Currently, Mira Oja aka Dream Lakes is working on a bit darker, space-themed ambient record, which will be released during next summer.
OAF curators’ comments: “Dream Lakes is a beautiful and relaxing world of sound. In the middle of today’s hectic way of life, it is wonderful to relax for a moment accompanied with the ambient. Dream Lakes evokes sympathy and yet it is withdrawing. It is the first time we have this kind of music at this festival!”
