Kulttuurikeskus Caisa and The House of Text, August 14, 2025, 3:00 PM–midnight
The opening of OAF 2025 will be celebrated on the Night of the Arts 14.8.2025 when OAF takes over the old Elanto’s Leipätehdas block (bread factory)!
On the opening weekend, Leipätehdas will be the venue for an experiential event, a collaboration between Outsider Art Festival, Cultural Centre Caisa and the House of Text.
At Caisa, you can see an outsider art exhibition, various performances and music acts and an installation combining ceramic sculptures and noise. At The House of Text, OAF will organize a poetry stage together with the publisher WSOY.

15.00-15.45 The Future exhibition vernissage, after which the exhibition is open the whole evening (Caisa gallery)
16.00-17.30 True Equality party. Requires an invitation or a support ticket (Caisa Hall)
16.00-21.00 Ksenia Voy Kheninen & Zherbin: Plants installation (Takagalleria)
17.30-17.45 Pekka Luodeslampi’s performance (Caisa’s yard)
17.40-18.00 LIPGLOSSBOY: RAT CITY -performance (Caisa’s lobby)
18.00-20.00 RÄKÄlicious, Jussi P Niinku Pekka & Vähäsähkö, Milla Heart concert (Caisa Hall)
Opening Program at the House of Text:
20.15–22.00 OAF Poetry Stage (Permantosali)
Ton Melnyk’s and Masha Ravlyk’s Art Studio Visit:
16.00–22.00: In addition to the programme at the old Elanto bread factory, the opening day features a studio visit to OAF Residency artists Ton Melnyk and Masha Ravlyk at their workspace in northern Helsinki, Tinasepäntie 55. The duo from Kyiv duo is currently creating a wall tapestry titled Our Queer Family, which expresses their longing for a community shattered by Russia’s invasion and anti-LGBTQI+ policies.
