The musical offerings at the Outsider Art Festival’s opening night will be provided by RÄKÄlicious, Jussi P Niinku Pekka & Vähäsähkö, and Milla Heart.
RÄKÄlicious is a performative pop-punk duo consisting of video artist Sandra Marins and sound artist Mai Pesonen. The essence of RÄKÄlicious is a DIY approach and a slightly skewed approach to queer experience.
The duo of Jussi P Niinku Pekka & Vähäsähkö perform experimental brainfolk in Finnish. Jussi P has been making brainfolk since 2017 and before that other kinds of music since 2006. Vähäsähkö AKA Harri Vähänissi makes noise, ambient, sounds and rhythms with self-built electronic instruments, creating a rich soundscape to surround Jussi P’s vocals and acoustic guitar.
Milla Heart is a Helsinki-based songwriter who makes dreamypop-music in Finnish. Milla’s music is about hope, joy and love. Milla wants her music to have a positive impact and to make people see themselves as perfect with all their flaws.
