Culture Center Caisa and the House of Text, 15.8.2024 at 15:00-00:00
The opening of OAF 2024 will be celebrated on the Night of the Arts 15.8.2024 when OAF takes over the old Elanto’s Leipätehdas block (bread factory).
On the opening weekend, Leipätehdas will be the venue for an experiential event, a collaboration between the Cultural Centre Caisa, the House of Text and Mad House Helsinki. Caisa will host an art exhibition, short films and music performances, while at the Tekstin talo we’ll see poems and performances.
Opening programme at the Cultural Centre Caisa:
15.00-17.00: Vernissage of the exhibition OAF X Caisa Gallery: Reality in Caisa Gallery, after which the gallery will be open until 22.00.
17.00-18.15: OAF film screening at Kino Caisa presents a wide range of Finnish outsider cinema.
18.30-20.00: Madde Matilda, Pure, MC Zen & Urbaani Unelma concert at Caisa hall.
Opening programme at the House of Text:
16.00-: Hei muuten – comic book exhibition. The exhibition at Kabinetti room presents the work of cartoonists with special needs.
18.00-: OAF X Bar Tÿpo DJs | Rakettiryhmä 10 000 DJ/VJ set at Bar Tÿpo.
20.30-22.30: OAF Poetry Stage. Joint poetry stage of OAF, WSOY and Runokuu at Permantosali, exploring what literature outside of literature could mean.

The Night of the Arts programme is free of charge.
On the opening day, True Equality party from 16.30-18.00 will also be held in Caisa, which will serve as a pre-party to the opening.
