The festival program conquers the Hospital Nova in Jyväskylä, where patients, staff members and visitors get to enjoy artistic contents. The hospital staff and volunteers guide the audience through the contents of the event during the festival. For example, this year, the first outsider art residency is realized in the hospital. In the residency, together with the staff members and patients, the artists create fascinating contents for the hospital. Crazy good events and contents are awaiting you!

Finland’s first residency for outsider art at the hospital! Get to know the artist residency program: visual artist Maarit Hedman and photographer Pauliina Lapio in the silent garden.
Create visual arts and try out techniques together with Maarit and get to know the work of a visual artist with visual impairment. Pauliina is giving Visual Thinking Strategies guided walking tours on the hospital’s artworks and is directing Art of Silence® sessions.
15.8. at 12.00 Opening of the festival and performance of the hospital’s choir Rytmihäiriö.
15.-19.8. klo 10.00-16.00 Virtual reality project Inside Outside Finland in the silent garden. The VR work presents the history, environments and six key artists of Finnish outsider art through interactive 360° videos.
