Valtteri Kleemola’s digital exhibition Valtteri’s Worlds at Länsimetro (Western metro) stations
16.-18.8.2024 during metro opening hours 06:00-00:00
Valtteri Kleemola’s digital exhibition will be spread along Länsimetro between Ruoholahti and Kivenlahti stations. At each station, a series of five photographs by Kleemola will be displayed.
Valtteri Kleemola (b. 1989) is a Helsinki-based artist working with photography. Kleemola appears in his photographs as himself, but the roles vary. Valtteri’s Worlds is Kleemola’s photographic oeuvre, created from self-portraits using social media tools and aesthetics. Some of the images are edited using social media methods that blur the boundaries between reality and image. In other images, Kleemola’s face is delineated with a brutal hand. By transposing his face onto the bodies of different people, Kleemola seems to be putting on different contexts and identities. Kleemola has been participating in Lyhty’s photography workshop since 2017 and works in Lyhty ry’s general workshop.
The exhibition is organised by Outsider Art Festival in collaboration with Espoo Cultural Services.
The exhibition is free of charge and open to all.
