The OAF 2025 teaser stars Neea Haapala’s textile “Ghoul” with a cathode‑ray‑tube‑TV that head overflows with art and anti‑Putin noise by Zherbin. In the closing scene the head pops off, and the noise dissolves into birdsong and laughter sampled from RÄKÄlicious’s track Kutina. The brilliant teaser was created for us by Klaus Welp.
Outsider Art Festival OAF is a friend festival of Helsinki Festival and will take over Helsinki and Espoo cultural venues 14.-24.8.2025. The 2025 program offers unique festival experiences and artistic visions of outsiders. OAF is produced by Pertin Valinta outsider art production house.
The festival’s official opening will be celebrated on Night of the Arts 14.8. at Cultural Center Caisa, and House of Text. Art works will be exhibited at Caisa and Pertin Valinta galleries and Länsimetro. Film screenings are held with Espoo Ciné, and the literary program takes place in live venues and Radio Helsinki. Pertin Valinta and Minna Records co-hosts a concert on 15.8 at the Caisa hall, featuring Aatos Ketvel and Takay-Sin. On 21.8., Pertin Valinta and All Day team up for a concert curated by Cepan maailma at Louhisali, presenting the rap artists good boys, Cepan Maailma, MC KOO and the spoken word artist Vapaa Sana.
