MC Zen & Urbaani Unelma is an energetic and lyrically diverse Finnish rap group. The band’s music carries the lyrical and cultural heritage of rap, but also boldly deviates from the norms of the genre. The lyrics contain references to oriental philosophies, social grievances and, for example, bohemian artist life.
The group, which released their EP Satakieli in autumn 2023, will perform at the Outsider art festival with a three-piece line-up including frontman MC Zen (Sami Kekäläinen), percussionist Eero Loutti and guitarist Linda Toratti. The band’s energetic vibe has been honed through the group’s street music performances.
