Madde Matilda is a duo from west Finland that makes fresh upbeat pop music. For the last year the duo has been working hard and making new music because their big dream has always been to become artists and make their own songs. Madde Matilda makes songs about their own lives and the things that are important to them. “We both have Down’s syndrome, but it doesn’t stop us from doing what we want and working towards our dreams”. Madde Matilda can also be seen in the YLE Areena TV series “Kuin kaikki muut”.
At the festival we will hear the hit song Cool Down as well as new songs like “Sinä ja minä” which tells us that together we can survive anything, and a little bit more!
Curators’ comments: “They break down barriers and glass ceilings with great pop music. The audience will be fired up to think that they can do anything! I feel proud listening to their music. Can’t wait to see them live!”
