Jari Nordström (born 1967) is a filmmaker and journalist. He produces radio programs and reports for Kivimedia, also working on documentaries and reportage. Nordström has been making films since the 1990s, and his works have been shown on television as well as at film festivals.
At the festival, Nordström will present his latest documentary “Suomen kova löylymies” (2024). The film participated in DocPoint 2025’s short film competition in the “Northern Images” category. Nordström came up with the idea for “Suomen kova löylymies” and appears in it as himself—and alone. With this film, Nordström seeks to showcase Finnish sauna culture and everyone’s right to a good löyly.
