Pure is a rap artist from Joensuu, specializing in improvised freestyle rap. Pure has a total of three medals from the Finnish Rap Championship competition (Rapin SM-kilpailut), the brightest of which is gold. In 2023, he released his long-awaited debut album Satakybä. In this year’s March Pure set the Finnish record by rapping frestyle for 10 hours straight on the live streaming service Twitch.
At Outsider Art Festival, Pure will perform a freestyle rap show, improvising rhymes on the spot about any topics the audience gives him. According to Pure, the show is like improvised stand-up, but rhyming to background music. Among freestyle we’ll also hear some kicking beats and sharp lyrics from Pure’s Satakybä album.
