Vahid Goodarzpour is a visual artist, filmmaker and photographer active in Finland. He has worked as a lawyer and advertising photographer, among other things, and studied film directing in Tehran, Iran. He is active in several multicultural art associations in Finland such as Globe Art Point, Catalyst and Helsinki International Artists Association.
OAF presents Goodarzpour’s film Shadows. Shadows is an experimental film based on Plato’s allegory of the cave. The film explores the shadow side of consciousness and the human ability to break free from the shackles of mind and body. The project was initiated in Iran in 2019 and finished in Finland in 2023. Goodarzpour has previously directed the film “Leyli and Majnun” and the documentary “Rashti Doozi-embroidery”.
