Mika Ruohola is a young film maker who works at KiviMedia, Lyhty Workshops, in Helsinki. Mika speaks openly about uncertainty, the difficulty of finding ones own place and about the tension of expressing himself. “It’s impossible to get rid of tension, what can you do, it comes unexpectedly.”
Curators’ comment: The film is relatable. Overcoming tension deals with things that most people experience in their lifetime. An open attitude and expression of the problem through short films is a strong statement of artistic freedom in a world of media – boosting with self-confidence. Everyone sometimes feels nervous. The film is like a guidebook that creates the feeling that I am not alone with all the tension. Super touching!
