Alexandra Marina

Alexandra Marina is a visual artist who works mostly with photography, painting and text. She often addresses the experience of living in a marginalized body in her work. Alexandra Marina has held several private exhibitions and been part of many group exhibitions. 

At the festival Alexandra Marina will present her personal installation called Body History Museum. Alexandra Marina’s autofictive artworks resemble a museum and comprises of items, photos, diagnostical papers, poems and laboratory results. Artworks explore all the different bodies that have been projected onto the artist through years by medical health professionals and other people. At the same time it is an attempt to manifest a new body that the artist can truly call her own.
